"Retirement" is Here

This (photoshopped) Dodge ad shows how I left my office for the last time.
It's taken a couple days for it to sink in, but as of December 24th, I'm "retired." Woo-hoo!

It's actually a little more complicated than that. Right now I'm on the standard winter holiday. After that I'm taking family leave. When that's over, I'm going to quit, but I'm not allowed to tell my boss that until the family leave starts, so he still doesn't know. He may ask me to come into the office for a little bit to wrap everything up, but I think I still count as retired.

We are super busy here getting our house ready to sell while celebrating Christmas, but we are making progress and having fun with family. I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season as well. More posts are coming soon.
